Karnataka High Court halts ED summonses to chief minister's wife and minister in land scam case.
The Karnataka High Court has temporarily halted Enforcement Directorate (ED) summonses to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's wife, Parvathi, and Urban Development Minister, Byrathi Suresh, in a land allotment scam case involving the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). The ED alleges that compensatory plots of higher value were allotted to Parvathi under a 50:50 scheme in exchange for her land. The court stayed the ED's summons until February 10, pending further hearings. Both the Lokayukta and ED are investigating the case, which involves allegations of illegal land allotments and money laundering.
