Duke Health and UNC Health are partnering to build North Carolina's first standalone children's hospital in the Triangle region. The 500-bed facility will include a behavioral health center, outpatient clinics, and research and teaching facilities. The $2 to $3 billion project, backed by $320 million in state funding, aims to provide specialized pediatric care across the state and is expected to be completed by the early 2030s.
