The ADB approves $100M to support electric mobility in the Philippines, including EV charging stations.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to a $100 million financing package to support Ayala Corporation’s development of an electric mobility system in the Philippines. The funds will be used to install up to 1,700 electric vehicle charging stations and purchase electric vehicles for commercial use. This initiative aims to increase electric vehicle adoption by addressing the limited charging infrastructure in the country. Ayala Corporation, a major Philippine conglomerate, sees this as a step towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable transportation.
