The Indian Embassy in Laos has rescued 67 Indian citizens from cyber-scam centers in the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone, where they were trafficked under false job promises and forced to work under abuse and intimidation. The embassy is working with Lao authorities to ensure their safe return to India, bringing the total number of rescued Indians to 924, with 857 already returned. The embassy has warned Indian youth about the risks of job offers in the region and urged them to seek verification from official channels.
