DJ Unk, born Anthony Leonard Platt, was a key figure in the 'snap music' subgenre of crunk, which gained popularity in the mid-2000s. His debut album, "Beat'n Down Yo Block!" released in 2006, featured the chart-topping singles. Despite facing health issues, including a heart attack in 2009, he continued to perform and release music. His cause of death remains undisclosed.
