Jordan's trade deficit narrows by 1.4% in 2024, with exports up 5.2% and imports up 1.8%.

In the first 11 months of 2024, Jordan saw a 5.2% increase in total exports to JD8.619 billion, while imports rose by 1.8% to JD17.285 billion, decreasing the trade deficit by 1.4% to JD8.666 billion. Notably, exports of apparel and pharmaceuticals surged by 24.6% and 16.3%, respectively. Despite overall growth, imports of crude oil, jewelry, and grains declined, while vehicle and bicycle imports increased.
