Renowned Indian actress and Bharatanatyam dancer Shobhana Chandrakumar has been awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian honor, for her contributions to the arts. With a career spanning over 40 years, Shobhana has received multiple awards including the Padma Shri and National Film Awards. She has acted in over 230 films across Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil cinema and runs her own dance school, Kalarpana, in Chennai.
