Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka was honored at the inaugural Sharjah Festival of African Literature (SFAL) with the Sharjah Lifetime Achievement in Literature Award. The four-day festival, themed "The Tale of Africa," featured literary discussions, workshops, and cultural activities involving 29 writers from the UAE and 10 African nations. SFAL aims to celebrate African heritage and foster dialogue between Arab and African cultures through literature and arts.
