Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, announced plans to create 25,000 new jobs and launched a Rs 680 crore start-up scheme during the state's 55th statehood day. The Congress government has generated an additional ₹2,200 crore in revenue through reforms in sectors like tourism and mining, and has fulfilled six of ten election promises. Despite financial constraints, the state has provided over 42,000 jobs in two years, doubling the previous BJP government's five-year total.
