Ghana's Gender Minister-designate missed her swearing-in due to a family emergency.

Ghana's Gender Minister-designate, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, was not sworn in due to arriving late to the ceremony, caused by a family emergency. The spokesperson for President John Dramani Mahama defended the decision, stating that her late arrival conflicted with the president's busy schedule, which included international travel. Lartey's swearing-in will be rescheduled following the president's return.
