Charlie Louis, an 85-year-old Indigenous cowboy and rodeo legend, passed away on January 17.

Charlie Louis, an 85-year-old Indigenous cowboy from the Okanagan Indian Band and competitive saddle bronc rider, passed away on January 17. A lifetime member of the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association, Louis was honored in the B.C. Cowboy Hall of Fame, inducted along with his father and seven brothers in 2015.
