The University of Ilorin has appointed three retired professors as Emeritus Professors, recognizing their significant contributions. The newly named Emeritus Professors are Prof. Is'haq Oloyede, a former vice-chancellor and current JAMB Registrar; Prof. Olu Obafemi, an English and Dramatic Literature scholar; and Prof. Musbau Akanji, a Biochemistry expert and former Vice-Chancellor.
