Duetti's 2024 report shows that per-stream earnings for independent artists are stabilizing after years of decline. Spotify pays the least at $3.0 per 1,000 streams, while Apple Music pays $6.2, and Amazon Music tops at $8.8. YouTube offers the biggest year-over-year increase to $4.8, due to growing subscriptions. Niche genres earn about 8% more on average compared to mainstream genres.
