Seven residents were hospitalized for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a multi-family home on Grant Boulevard in Syracuse on Wednesday evening. The Syracuse Fire Department arrived to find the building's attic and second floor on fire, with all 11 occupants, including seven children, having already evacuated. The fire was put out in about 30 minutes, with initial reports suggesting an electrical malfunction as the cause. The displaced residents received assistance from the American Red Cross.
