Over 50% of landlords with poorly rated properties delay energy upgrades, risking future fines.

A recent Landbay survey shows over 50% of landlords with properties rated below C on the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) scale are delaying upgrades until closer to the 2030 deadline. Only 18% plan to upgrade as soon as possible. Landbay warns that delays could lead to significant fines due to the current skilled labor shortage. The survey also found that 35% of landlords have properties below a C rating, with 5% unsure of their EPC rating.
