North Dakota considers bill to move students convicted of sexual assault to different schools.

North Dakota lawmakers are considering House Bill 1247, which would prevent students found guilty of sexual assault from attending the same school as their victim. The bill proposes that offenders be expelled, transferred to another school, or moved to an alternative program. Rep. Daniel Johnston introduced the bill, which has received support but also concerns from the North Dakota School Boards Association about conflicts with existing state laws. The committee has not yet taken action.
