UK considers stricter ID checks for online knife sales to prevent purchases by minors.

The UK government is considering new stricter ID checks for online knife sales to prevent underage purchases, following a recent case where a 17-year-old bought a knife online and committed a crime. The proposed system would involve two types of identification checks, potentially including identity documents and a live video to verify age. This comes after a review led by Commander Stephen Clayman, aiming to strengthen current measures which only involve entering a date of birth and signing for delivery.
