Karnataka's Leader of the Opposition, R. Ashoka, criticized the state government for planning to borrow Rs 1 lakh crore in the upcoming budget, citing a 20% fall in revenue and increased debt. Ashoka also accused the government of using corrupt funds for a political convention. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is set to present the 2025-26 budget, expected to be around Rs 4 lakh crores.
