Bangladesh report details child detentions and human rights abuses under ex-PM Hasina.
A commission in Bangladesh has revealed that during former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's tenure, several children were held in secret detention centers alongside their mothers. Babies were used as leverage during interrogations, and at least half a dozen children spent months in these jails. The report highlights widespread human rights abuses, including extrajudicial killings and unlawful abductions. Around 200 people are still missing after being abducted by security forces. Arrest warrants have been issued for Hasina, who fled to India after being removed from power in 2024.
