SBI employee in India accused of stealing $1M in gold over five years, leading to his arrest.
An SBI employee in Tamil Nadu, B. Sekar, has been accused by the CBI of stealing jewelry worth Rs 8 crore over five years. Sekar, a cash officer, allegedly cut and took pieces of gold ornaments pledged by customers as loan collateral. The branch manager, after reviewing CCTV footage, filed a complaint with the CBI, leading to Sekar's arrest.
