The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) is acquiring a 4% stake in Philippine Dealing System Holdings Corp. (PDS) from AIA Philippines Life and General Insurance Co. Inc. This purchase, part of the PSE's plan to unify the local capital markets, will increase its stake in PDS to 88.44%, aligning the Philippines with global markets that have a single exchange structure for trading equities and fixed income. The total cost of the acquisition is P2.53 billion.
