Qatar launches anti-blindness project in Sudan, treating 8,338 patients and performing 776 surgeries.

The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) launched an anti-blindness project in Sudan to treat eye diseases for 12,000 people across three states. Two out of three medical convoys have been completed, providing free exams, medications, and eyeglasses to 8,338 patients, and performing 776 cataract surgeries. The project, which also facilitates experience exchange among medical professionals, was inaugurated to commemorate Qatar National Day 2024.
