Nigerian court grants bail to former AMCON head and four others accused in $31.5M Arik Air fraud case.
An Ikeja Special Offences Court in Nigeria granted bail to Ahmed Kuru, former AMCON Managing Director, and four others accused of a ₦76 billion and $31.5 million fraud involving Arik Airline. The accused include Kamilu Omokide, Roy Ilegbodu, Union Bank, and Super Bravo Ltd. Each defendant was granted bail in the sum of ₦20 million with one surety. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alleges that the defendants abused their positions and stole Arik Air's assets. The trial is set to resume in March.
