A Hong Kong court has given Country Garden Holdings, a Chinese property company, more time to negotiate with creditors, postponing a hearing until May 26. Country Garden defaulted on US dollar debt in 2023 and is experiencing significant financial difficulties, reporting a record loss of 178.4 billion yuan last year. The company aims to finalize a debt restructuring plan with offshore creditors by the first half of 2025.
