On January 20th, Chinese President Xi Jinping chaired a meeting of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee's Political Bureau. The meeting reviewed work reports from key state institutions, including the National People's Congress, the State Council, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Supreme People's Court, and the Supreme People's Procuratorate. The meeting also discussed ecological protection and development in the Yellow River Basin.
