UK plans to plant over 400,000 trees by March, aiming to combat climate change and boost wildlife.

The National Trust, with support from England's Community Forests, plans to plant over 400,000 trees by March, covering an area equivalent to 800 football fields. Funded by £7.1 million from the Nature for Climate Fund, this initiative aims to fight climate change, enhance wildlife, and create green spaces. It's part of a larger goal to plant 20 million trees by 2030. Last year, England saw a 52% increase in tree planting, with 5,529 hectares of new woodland planted.
