An 18-coach trial run was successfully completed on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) in Jammu and Kashmir, India.
The Rs 41,000 crore project covers 326 km, with 111 km in tunnels, including India's longest railway tunnel, T-49, at 12.77 km.
It includes the world's highest railway bridge over the Chenab River, standing 359 meters above the riverbed.
The project aims to boost sectors like horticulture, agriculture, tourism, and trade, making travel to Kashmir more accessible and affordable.
