A house fire in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, early Saturday morning at about 4 a.m. led to three people being hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Firefighters quickly controlled the blaze, which was caused by an overloaded extension cord near flammable materials. The residents, two adults and a child, were assisted by the American Red Cross after being displaced by the fire, which caused between $5,000 and $10,000 in damage.
