Baguio City, Philippines, has reported its first Monkeypox (mpox) case, a 28-year-old male with the less severe Clade II variant. Mayor Benjamin Magalong urged the public to follow health precautions like wearing masks and maintaining hygiene, while assuring no need for panic or lockdown. The Department of Health warned that mpox can spread through direct and indirect human contact and contaminated objects, with symptoms including skin rash, fever, and swollen lymph nodes.
