Oklahoma forms council to create safety guidelines for large events post-terror attack.

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has formed the Secure Oklahoma NOW council to create safety protocols for large events in response to a New Orleans terror attack. The 12-member council, led by Public Safety Commissioner Tim Tipton, includes experts from law enforcement, emergency management, and federal partners. They aim to publish a guide by May 30, 2025, to help city leaders and event coordinators assess and mitigate potential threats.
