Nigeria's Health Ministry received only 15.06% of its 2024 capital budget, amounting to N26.552 billion out of N233.656 billion, due to the government's cash plan policy. Minister Prof. Mohammed Ali Pate disclosed this during budget defense, noting that the ministry has yet to receive funds from an additional N57.393 billion allocated for capital projects. Despite challenges, the health sector saw improvements, with a focus on providing better healthcare facilities and qualified manpower.
