Michigan's Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II declared January 18 "Honolulu Blue Day" to support the Detroit Lions in their playoff game against the Washington Commanders. The Lions secured the No. 1 seed in the NFC with a 15-2 record and a franchise record of 493 points scored. The governors encourage Michiganders to wear blue to show team unity and spirit.
