Renault opens its first R&D center in China to develop cost-efficient EVs for Europe.

French carmaker Renault Group has opened its first R&D center in China, the Advanced China Development Center (ACDC), in Shanghai, with 150 employees. The center aims to develop EVs for the European market, focusing on cost efficiency and advanced technology. Renault's CEO praised China's advancements in EVs, especially battery technology, and highlighted the company's partnership with CATL, a leading Chinese battery maker. China leads in EV production, with over 12 million new energy vehicles made last year.
