Labour overtakes National in polls, leading with 30.9% as New Zealand grapples with cost of living.

Recent polls by Curia for the Taxpayers' Union show Labour overtaking National for the first time in nearly two years, with Labour at 30.9% and National at 29.6%. Labour is projected to gain five seats, totaling 39, while National is set to lose six seats, totaling 38. The Greens and New Zealand First saw gains, while ACT experienced a decline. Over 50% of respondents believe the country is heading in the wrong direction, with the cost of living as the main concern.
