Hindalco Industries shifts to electric vehicles at Indian plants to cut emissions and costs.

Hindalco Industries is switching from diesel to electric vehicles across its Indian plants to achieve net-zero emissions. This move includes deploying electric bulkers at its Odisha plant to supply fly ash, opening EV recharge stations, and plans to decrease CO2 emissions by 3,500 tonnes while saving Rs 1.5 crore in transport costs. The company aims to expand the use of LNG and EVs and enhance rail transport options.
