Hawaii and New York AGs crack down on unauthorized tobacco products, targeting youth and illegal sales.

Hawaii's Attorney General is warning over 800 retailers about selling unauthorized tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and oral pouches, which require FDA approval. Only a limited number are authorized; many unauthorized products, often imported from China, target youth with high nicotine content. New York's Attorney General has also filed lawsuits against vape shops for selling to minors and operating without licenses. A multi-state coalition is addressing the illegal sale of flavored vape products, aiming to protect youth from dangerous nicotine levels and unregulated products.
