A 31ft statue of William Wallace in Bemersyde, Scotland, is restored after weather damage.

A 31ft statue of William Wallace in Bemersyde, near Dryburgh, has been restored after weather damage affected its stone claymore. The William Wallace Trust, which owns the statue, commissioned the work with a £3,210 grant from the Fallago Environment Fund and £2,524 in local donations. The statue, sculpted in 1814, predates the Stirling monument by over 50 years and is a significant local landmark.
