The holiday, from December 14 to February 15, saw some restaurants report increased sales and customer visits. However, not all businesses noted significant benefits. Restaurants Canada’s president, Kelly Higginson, says the tax break encouraged more dining out and spending, but the government has not yet responded to the industry's request.
