Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has raised the loan amount for small businesses under the Youth Program to 1.5 million Pakistani Rupees, from 500,000. This move aims to boost small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and align their facilities with international standards. Sharif also plans a nationwide survey of SMEs and has simplified the loan application process, with a special focus on supporting women entrepreneurs and small-scale businesses.
