The NHS in England identifies 235 Jews with high cancer risk through a new genetic testing program.

The NHS in England has identified 235 individuals with Jewish ancestry who have a higher risk of cancer due to BRCA gene mutations through a new genetic testing program. Offered to those over 18 with Jewish heritage, the saliva test checks for gene alterations that increase cancer risk. Those testing positive receive early screening, preventive treatments, and lifestyle advice to mitigate risks. The program, in its first year, has processed 11,000 tests out of 25,000 kits distributed.
