Gonzaga University appoints Katia Passerini as its first female president, set to start July 2025.

Gonzaga University has appointed Katia Passerini as its new president, marking her as the first woman to lead the institution. Passerini, currently the provost at Seton Hall University, will take over from Thayne McCulloh, who is retiring after 16 years. With over 20 years of higher education experience, Passerini was selected after a national search and will start her role on July 15, 2025.
