Former PlayStation exec Shuhei Yoshida says the PS Vita failed due to high costs of its features and lack of resources to support both it and the PS3. Despite initial strong support, exclusives dwindled, and it struggled against the Switch. Sony is reportedly working on a PS5 handheld to compete with upcoming devices like the Switch 2 and Steam Deck.
