An Austrian privacy group, Noyb, has filed complaints against TikTok, Shein, Xiaomi, and other Chinese firms, accusing them of unlawfully transferring European users' data to China. The group seeks fines of up to 4% of the companies' global revenue and the suspension of data transfers, citing that China's data protection standards do not meet EU regulations. Complaints were filed in several European countries under the EU's GDPR.
