Woman rescued from Connecticut River after falling through ice; injuries non-life-threatening.
A woman was rescued by emergency responders after falling through ice on the Connecticut River in Rocky Hill on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred at Ferry Park around 9 a.m., when she walked onto the frozen river and fell into the water. Found about 100 feet from the shore, she was rescued within six minutes by firefighters and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
