Vianode signs multibillion-dollar deal with GM to supply EV battery materials starting 2027.

Norwegian company Vianode has signed a multibillion-dollar deal with General Motors to supply synthetic graphite for EV batteries. Vianode will build a plant in North America to produce up to 150,000 tonnes of the material annually, starting in 2027. The deal highlights the growing demand for critical minerals in the EV market, as GM aims to strengthen its battery supply chain for its Ultium Cells joint venture.
