India launches 'Fast Track Immigration' program at seven airports to speed up travel for citizens.

India's Home Minister Amit Shah will launch the 'Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Traveller Program' (FTI-TTP) at seven major airports, including Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, and Ahmedabad, on January 16. The program aims to provide faster and more secure international travel for Indian citizens and OCI cardholders at no cost. Enrolment involves online registration and biometric data capture, allowing travelers to use e-gates for quick immigration clearance. The initiative, part of India's 'Viksit Bharat'@2047 vision, will eventually cover 21 major airports across the country.
