Chinese telecom firm Hytera Communications has pleaded guilty to stealing trade secrets from Motorola Solutions, admitting to hiring former Motorola employees to obtain digital mobile radio technology. Hytera faces a maximum fine of $60 million and must pay full restitution to Motorola. The case stems from actions taken as early as 2008, with a sentencing hearing set for November 6. Motorola previously won a $764 million judgment against Hytera for the same scheme.
