Former Indian minister granted bail in ration scam, must stay in state, surrender passport.

A special court in India has granted bail to former West Bengal Food and Supplies Minister Jyotipriya Mallick in a ration distribution scam case. Mallick was arrested in October 2023 by the Enforcement Directorate. The court imposed conditions on her bail, including not leaving the state without permission and surrendering her passport. This is the third person to receive bail in this ongoing investigation.
