Former Bangladesh President and PM among 124 accused in plot to suppress student protesters.
A case has been filed in Kishoreganj, Bangladesh, accusing former President Abdul Hamid, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and 122 others of planning an attack on anti-discrimination student protesters. The plaintiff, Tohmul Islam Mazharul, alleges the accused plotted a mass killing to suppress the uprising against Sheikh Hasina's regime. This marks the first legal action naming Abdul Hamid as a suspect.
