A late-night fire in a New Bedford home displaced 10 people, including five adults and five children, on Tuesday around 11:30 p.m. Initially, two residents were thought to be trapped, but they were later found safe. The fire, which extended into the attic, required mutual aid from neighboring departments and city assistance due to icy conditions. All four pets were also accounted for, and no injuries were reported. The cause was determined to be accidental.
